To pay tribute to the Portland Trail Blazers, the Jordan brand released the Portland colorway on the Air Jordan 6 Rings silhouette in 2008. A shiny white patent leather overlay coats the bottom portion of this upper, and a white smooth leather overlay encases the heel. Varsity Red and black doodles coat the final side panel portion of this upper in a Portland theme. The tongue, lace lock, heel tab, and midsole are all accented in black. Varsity Red comes into play on the inner sock liner, the heel's Jordan Jumpman branding, the lace strap's clasp, and the outer sole's tread outline. A red, black and white fuzzy chenille background encases a white Jumpman logo on the tongue.
