Loctite instant-bonding super glue adhesives are an effective solution for a broad range of assembly or repair applications. Like most comparable super glue products, these products consist of a number of light/UV-curing adhesives and sealants including anaerobic, acrylic, epoxy, cyanoacrylate, hot melt, and urethane. They are used in both industrial and home applications including simple home repairs and hobbies that require the use of super glue or other liquid adhesives.

When handled according to product specifications, super glue adhesives by Loctite are safe for use on a variety of materials including rubbers, plastics, leather, and ceramics. While the bonding adhesive in Loctite may not cause permanent injury if touched, it is recommended that safety measures like rubber gloves be implemented when working with it. In most cases, a soak in warm, soapy water will remove super glue product residue from the skin with little resistance. Loctite is also safe for most fabrics and will wash out in a normal laundry cycle.

There are few restrictions when using Loctite as a super glue adhesive but there are a few things to consider when deciding to use it for a given project. The bonding agent can resist hot and cold to a degree, but there are limits as outlined below. The super glue adhesive in Loctite will work most effectively under the following conditions:

• Cold and hot water
• LPG Gas
• Up to 16 Bar Pressure
• Temperatures up to 130 degrees fahrenheit

When left alone, the super glue bond created by Loctite adhesive dries quickly and remains constant for extended periods. Still, the bond is not unbreakable. This makes the super glue adhesive in Loctite useful for use on screws and joints that might eventually need to be re-adjusted. In some cases, an additional breakdown compound might be necessary to release the bond.

Loctite adhesives are used for a broad range of applications including automotive, electronics, and aerospace, where super glue is used as a typical bonding agent, but it is also useful for home repairs and recreational used like model-building or repairing broken toys. It is often used to reinforce installations like cabinets, tiles, and bathroom fixtures but should never be used as the primary bonding method.
