    This is a steal.

Since the note 7 fiasco i have been looking at what to get to replace my older growing note 3 i wanted to stick with the not series because they check all the boxes for my needs. So far this phone is great aside from two things ill get that in a minute. When i first got the phone it arrived as they describe the box is open but the phone is brand new all they did to it was add a screen protector to it i couldn't tell if it was glass or a hard plastic but I didn't really care either as i took it off immediately not that it wasn't nice to receive one but i normally just dont use them on my phones as they feel funny to my fingers. The phone as i said before is literally brand new as far as I can tell not dings no scratches and the device didnt have any sneaky scratches on the plastic pit at the charger. Now for the two small or one problem since i did fix the other one. The first being that at first the bluetooth did not work at all nothing wanted to connect nothing wanted to find my device. I fixed this with a soft reset. The second problem is that Samsung pay does not want to work due to it saying that there have been unauthorized changes to the device. I then had sprint even reimage the phone as they called it by putting the new version of android on there. it didnt work. but over all i am not to upset about it as most of the stores around me dont support samsung pay or even apple pay and whatever else there is we are just now getting chip support. A small issue to mention is that my s pen was a tiny pit broken at first by not activating the screen off memo thing but then again i didnt use it. my pen did break after like a weak but i think it was more due to me playing with the clicking mechanism which just pushed that peice away from the pen body but i was able to fix it only the super glue dried to fast and the end cap didnt get all the way down so i just ordered a new one. Overall i am happy with this purchase it saved me 400 dollars even with buying the pen and activation was free. I would definitely recommend this to friends. When i called the customer service they even offered to take the phone back and switch it one for another one which took me by surprise but it was definitely good.

    Powerhouse

Owning a Lg G Flex for the past year, I couldn't wait to go back to my Samsung. I couldn't decide whether to get the Note 4 or Note 5. I finally settled on the Note 5 and let me tell you, I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. This phone is a powerhouse with it's octa-core cpu. Being a Note you would expect it to be very large in your hand. But it's form factor is slimmer than it's predecessors so it feels much like other phones in your hand. The gold titanium looks very "upper-class" on this phone and the all glass and medal construction gives the phone a very pleasing weight and feel in your hand. The screen is beautiful and the graphics are fantastic. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the storage and the software. This phone comes in 2 storage options, 32 and 64gb. I don't play allot of games or have massive amounts of music or photos so I figured the 32gb variant would be fine. And for the most part it is, but I wasn't expecting the system to be using up so much space and with all my apps installed, I only have about 20gb's usable storage. As for the software, Android 6 is good but it does have one, known, flaw: battery drain issues. Idle drain is horrible. Before I searched out battery saving options, my battery would drain 50% over the course of the day just sitting there doing nothing. By morning, if I didn't plug it in, It would be down to about 4%. The fast charging works great, just wish i didn't need to utilize it so much. This battery issue is something Samsung is aware of and was supposed to be working on. But they are getting ready to release Android 7 for this phone so i think they are skipping fixing 6.

    Great case for the value

As long as you know why you're purchasing this case you won't be disappointed. Here's my experience and take on it. 1. The case overall - It has a great feel, phone pops in easily, and once in the case gives a very snug fit. The material on the back part seems cheap but it's not. Pretty durable. You don't feel the added weight much. 2. The interior - The inside has two slots to put CCs, ID, or whatever you want in there. Putting in or taking out is kind of a pain in the butt. Upside, you don't have to worry about your stuff falling out. Downside, you'll probably make people mad waiting in line behind you if you wait for the last second to pull out your plastic. 3. The packaging - Nice professional look that gives you confidence that the case won't arrive damaged. 4. Features - Using the case as a stand works great but only if you don't have anything in the slots. The phone kept sliding on me when trying to do so. The front cover doesn't turn on/off your screen when opening/closing. You have to do that manually. Talking on the phone can be a pain also as bending the case backwards feels awkward. Texting or any other touch screen functions might be awkward also depending on how you hold the phone in the case. 5. Cosmetics - Real nice, sleek looking case.

Everything is good except the sprint pre-loaded software.

The phone is excellent, smooth operation, camera quality, wide angle front camera, 64gb, everything is working just fine. I had couple of issues with the sprint preloaded apns, to get LTE you need to keep the phone in automatic mode and do one voice call, to let your service provider(other than sprint) to be configured to LTE. Also, there is one annoying problem with the incoming call number, it comes with a '+' sign added. This is a big problem, when you just try to call back, as it will say it's an invalid number. Also, just because of this '+' sign phone will not recognize as a contact listed in your phonebook. This may go away after some software updates, or you plan to root your device. One caution if you plan to root, is that the phone's payment feature will not work. I believe samsung pay is accepted more places than other type of mobile payments. Infact i did use samsung pay in my trip and it work just fine at most places. So, its upto individual preference on whether to root the device to get the full control, erasing sprint, or leave as it is.

    Note 5 love

Coming from an iPhone 6S 128GB all I can say is that I miss the memory (128 vs 32GB), that been said with the external usb-adapter thingy which allows the access to all sorts of sd-cards and multiple cloud services available nowadays that part of the equation is solved quick, fast and in a hurry. Now one the most important aspects is the ability to get rooted which brings the benefits that a custom rom ( software) offers with endless customization, all the bloatware which characterizes the different carriers and such can be removed, now the only thing installed is what's needed and wanted. All this process turns this Note 5 into a fantastic device, as it comes from the factory it's pretty fast and very easy to use and after customization it can only get better. This device is second to none , beautiful design everywhere you look, easy to use, great battery and even though the screen is a little bit bigger than my iPhone 6S plus it does feels smaller & easier to use one handed, the weight is perfect and at the end it does feels like the ultimate device !!!!

    Great Smartphone, rivals current smartphones

With the realities of the Galaxy Note7, I went for the note 5. Turns out that it wasn't a bad trade off. I wouldn't even call it a downgrade. This phone is fantastic. The note7 has some nice little features that overall make it a better phone, but I have to recommend the note 5 because it is such a solid phone. The biggest flaw lies in it's battery life, which struggles to make it through a full day of use. The note7 could make a full day plus some. Note 5 overall is still an amazing device even though it is over a year old

Great features, good speed and enough memory for all my apps.

One of the main reasons to get this phone was because of its capacity. My previous phone a Galaxy Grand Prime didn't had enough space to hold more than half a dozen apps, this phone has more than enough space and runs very fast all of them. Also the pen features are a pretty cool thing that comes very handy. I'm giving it a four stars just because the battery drains out in less than a day and I find myself recharging at least once mid thru my day. The cracks are not a big deal, unless the overall aesthetics are a priority.

    An excellent phone

This has been an excellent phone. With the AT&T upgrade to Android 7.0, its performance has been especially enhanced. I would recommend such a purchase of a new, unopened-boxed Samsung Galaxy Note 5 to anyone who wants the stylus capabilities of a Galaxy Note, but has serious dollar reservation about spending the big bucks for the newest Galaxy Note 8. With the purchase of this phone at a fraction of its original sale price, I have a smart phone with all of the technical capabilities which I'll ever need.

Awesome product upgrade for lovers of the Note series!

I moved from a Note 4 to Note 5 and was skeptical at first...but its been such a smart move for me! My Note 4 had seemingly started to buckle under the weight of apps installed and now I enjoy prompt response, speed and great performance on the Note 5. The cameras are superbly sharp, good battery life though I have to change about once a day with heavy usage. Its really an upgrade I should have made a long time ago.

    Perfect for me!

I have tried to adapt to two other types of phones, one by Motorola (DROID) and the other an LG (V10) and quickly grew disenchanted with both. They both advertised the best of everything a cell phone could have or be but having always had a Samsung phone I think I got spoiled. Samsung constantly surprises and delights me with everything it has and can do. I will not experiment again and will always opt for any Samsung product. Vickie
